Piece of junk. It deleted quite a few of my tabs from various windows and/or moved tabs around to different windows. The developer says it is buggy and it is extremely so. The features don't work as advertised. Great idea, terrible implementation!

lost all my tabs

I lost all my tabs in groups. How annoying!

Zach Price

Completely wiped all of my tabs on my work PC. I generally have 15-30 tabs open for various tasks that I'm working on. When I reopened chrome after rebooting all of my suspended tabs went to the "new tab" page on chrome. Meanwhile all my non-suspended tabs were totally fine. Use at your own risk if you are keeping many tabs open for a good reason. You may end up needing to reopen everything you were working on.

Doubte Angelo

New Brave update turn suspended tabs in tab groups into new tabs when reopening the browser.

himanshu kanaujia

suspending every tab even after 10 seconds

Actually suspends tabs (unlike Auto tab discard) and opensource! love it.

Luca Pranay

Tabs are suspended after aprox. 30 seconds, no matter the suspension time I set.

Even if the option to suspend tabs is DISABLED, Tab Suspender still suspends the tabs. It even ignores the time setting: it is set to the maximum—and tabs are suspended after 30 seconds.

Cosmic Voyager

Tabs are suspending very quickly and ignoring my ten minutes setting. I am on Mac.

Scott Bernstein

Agree - tabs are getting suspended <2 minutes without changing anything in the settings.

NK5 LLC

Please revert back to when it was working. This new version is horrible and completely unusable. It completely ignores the disabled "adaptive" setting and is suspending tabs within seconds, also ignoring my 30 minute auto-suspend setting. Deleting this to find one that actually works.

No longer works. :( Win 7. I understand if that is too niche to solve and test for.

Stop working for me. Was great when it was working..

Alexander Shalashilin

Worked perfect, but as I am still on win7, it simply stopped working.

Your extension takes up the entire RAM (more than 8 GB, for a total of 12 GB in the system). After that, either the extension itself or the entire browser (Google Chrome) crashes with an error.

the best tab freeze extensions

wolo wolson

Can't imagine working without it

Love this extension. Does it's job well. Though as of 10.04 it seems to have the same memory issue from the February.

Tim Langner

This is a very good extensions and really useful but Google say it may soon be unsupported as it doesn't follow best practice. I don't know what best practices it isn't following though. Hopefully it will be resolved as it is a great extension.

Marta Rossi

I have loved this extension and I am gutted that it is no longer supported by Google Chrome :( When is the migration to Chrome V3 API going to happen? Will you keep the same name? I just want to be sure that I will find the new version when it is released! Thank you

Fariz Sofyan

The best tab suspender in Chrome in my opinion. Been using this extension for years, I hope it won't get removed from Chrome.

Christopher Staples

well it WAS a great program , then Google Came along and said NOPE I can not use it anymore and blocked it , I have thousands of tabs that can not longer be resumed , not happy Google !!!

Lodroth

Seems to work exactly as advertised at date of this review. I've seen some low ratings that affect the overal score of the extension, but many or all of these issues appear to have been fixed.

When will you update it? : (

For someone like me who always have multi windows open with multiple tabs this has ended up doing the job that Chrome itself is supposed to be doing in so far as putting tabs into sleep. Which you never have any control over which tabs goes to sleep, when it does it or even doing it at all. I don't get why Chrome introduced the feature and didn't let you control it manually. Or automatically put all unused tabs into sleep mode after lets say 30 minutes. If I have one complaint though its that when you suspend the tab. No matter if it's a longer video I'm watching across a period of time. Or if its a video I want to get to later and so I open a tab and suspend it. You end up with the tab being turned into some form of &ab_channel=ChannelName&t=2s or however long I'm in a longer video. It's not a deal breaker, but having to go the extra step of removing that each time. Getting rid of that would be a nice improvement.

I really like it, but after Chrome changed how groups work, any tab that was suspended upon restoring a Chrome window is turned into a "new tab". So I have to choose between losing everything in my last session, or having an optimized browser. Unfortunately, saving my browser is far more important to me. Hopefully, this gets resovled eventually.

No longer working for me, but I liked it when it did

Why is chromewebstore showing "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions"?
